Leopard boot not working

Hi All,

I recently build a hackintosh and installed osx leopard using the iboot cd. the installation was successful. Then I installed multibeast to try and get it to boot without the iboot cd. It didnt work. It cant boot w/out the iboot cd. Any suggestions for me? I did not download the dtst file either. Do I need it for booting? I dont know the revision of my motherboard to download it.

Here is my hardware:

When you say it won't boot, are you also getting stuck at the blue screen after the Gray Macintosh screen when things first start?

Hi: Hackin-Noob here & I seem to be having similar issues.

i5 2500K
Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3

Upon reboot after Multibeast installation (EasyBeast & System Utilities), the screen hangs at the white-ish / gray splash screen with the apple logo.

From there, I have to hard reboot and re-insert the iBoot disk -> Snow Leopard.

Also, I always have to un-plug the ps2 keyboard and plug it back back in for it to work.

MB build is from Nov 2011, so it could probably use bios update. How to update without an OS?

Where is your gfx card? HD3000 is NOT supported under SL.

Try GraphicsEnabler=NO to see if you can go pass the screen and then to the App Store and download Lion.

You need a gfx card if you are going to be using SL 10.6.8 or someone with a mac to create Unibeast and install Lion without going through SL installation.

I bought the Snow Leopard 10.6.3 from Apple store & I upgraded to 10.6.6

I couldn't upgrade to 10.6.7 or .8 without upgrading to 10.6.6 first.

Correct, I don't have a gpu as I thought I could use onboard graphics

So I need to buy a video card first?

I followed the directions for iBoot & MultiBeast.

Do I need latest bios, Chimera or anything else?

As mentioned in my above post, I have 10.6.3 and not 10.6.8 Do I still need to go the UniBeast route?

If you are looking to use onboard gfx then you need to upgrade to Lion.

If not you will need a gfx card b/c you will have shitty 1024 resolution.

So Jester, are you saying I need to keep going with my upgrades from 10.6.3 -> 10.6.6 -> 10.6.7 -> 10.6.8?

What about upgrading my bios?

No all you have to do is upgrade to 10.6.6 for App Store to download Lion.

Upgrading your BIOS is easy using QFlash.
