Hello everyone!

I managed to update my Yoga C740 to Big Sur, everything works very well except the touch screen which remains asleep after going to sleep. It works again after a reboot.

I installed it first plain to an external USB disk and then used the Migration Assistant to move everything along. It worked out quite fine, even my SampleTank 4, Native Instruments stuff along with Fishman TriplePlay did not need new authorization or tweaks.

This is the contents of the EFI directory, which means after mounting the EFI partition you would need to create a new one or wipe the current one and paste this inside.

Create your own serial number and you should be good to go.

Enjoy!

PS: Some more details as I tweak it:
  1. FileVault works with this EFI, just activate it like on a real Mac
  2. In NVRAM, 7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82 add
    Code:
    csr-active-config: <FF0F0000>
in order to deactivate SIP, otherwise <00000000> for fully active SIP, which is of course recommended.
  3. In case your external monitor is not working try adding this property to PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0):
    Code:
    AAPL00,override-no-connect, DATA, <00FFFFFF FFFFFF00 09E57C9C 00000000 331C0104 A51F1160 026FB1A7 554C9E25 0C505400 00000101 01010101 01010101 01010101 0101C039 80187138 28403020 360035AE 1000001A 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00FE0042 4F452043 510A2020 20202020 000000FE 004E5631 34304648 4D2D4E36 350A0001>
and add the following boot args: igfxagdc=0 igfxonln=1
  4. I uploaded the config.plist having everything in place. Again, this is a Big Sur config.

hello,
Can you share the updated EFI file? (C740)

Has anyone test it or create an EFI for MacOs Ventura?
