Hey all-

First off, thanks for all the effort over the years. I loved my ProBook hack and I moved on to my next one. I have this laptop mostly there.

Things that don't work yet and hopefully will with help
- not sure about my graphics, a youtube video plays ok, but at full screen will flicker; I don't see anything under Preferences/Displays
- my touch pad works for moving the mouse, scrolling and hard clicks but touch tap and right clicks don't work; nothing listed in touchpad under preferences
- screen brightness does not work (tried corrected kext fix but not sure I did it right)
- messages/facetime don't work ( I did create my unique serial and hard coded the UUID. I was able to sign into messages but not FaceTime but could not send or receive a message, do I don't think it really worked)
- About this Mac does not bring anything up
- No Battery icon and shows 0 percent under preferences/energy ( I tried the correct kext fix, at least I think I did)

I have attached my zip full of the requested logs and file folders. Please let me know if I missed something or we need something else.

Thanks again for your time and I really appreciate your help.

Your profile is missing important hardware details.
Please fix as per FAQ:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Sorry, thought I had it all filled out. I had the motherboard listed in the CPU slot. Its been corrected.

Your profile is not complete. For example, screen resolution is missing. And make/model of laptop is also missing.

Please read the FAQ carefully.

Ok, I think I have it filled out correctly now. Sorry about that.

Comments:
- config.plist not from the laptop guide
- AppleBacklightFixup.kext requires Lilu.kext but you neglected to install it
- CPU PM not implemented (start with guide plist)
- battery status requires ACPI patches (refer to the FAQ for link to the guide)
- kitchen sink approach not a good idea with drivers64UEFI (refer to the guide)
- same comment regarding kexts/Other

Thanks for the feedback.

- I downloaded the plist from your REPO, for HD 4000, 1600 x 900, from master list. Should I not have?
- The Lilu kext goes in EFI/CLOVER/KEXTS/OTHER?
- What is CPU PM?
- I thought I did patch ACPI. I put SSDT-PNLF.aml in EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched
- So I have too many kexts and drivers loaded?

Sorry if these seems stupid or easy. I clearly made some mistakes here and misread in other places. Im trying to go over this carefully and sometimes need more detail. Thanks again for your replies and help.

I cannot prove you didn't download it. All I know (from files in post #1) is you're not using it.

- The Lilu kext goes in EFI/CLOVER/KEXTS/OTHER?

As per guide, post #2, all "kexts you need" should be installed to /Library/Extensions.
Read post #2 of the guide carefully:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

- What is CPU PM?

PM = Power Management.
This guide is linked from the FAQ:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-native-power-management-for-laptops.262185/

- I thought I did patch ACPI. I put SSDT-PNLF.aml in EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched

That is just an add-on SSDT for backlight control. Not really "ACPI patching".

- So I have too many kexts and drivers loaded?

Refer to the guide already linked.

Got it, I will try your recommendations.

Hopefully last question, should I use the plist for HD4000, 1600x900 from your repo or is there another one I should try instead? And this is the config.plist from EFI/CLOVER correct?

Assuming your profile is accurate, that is the correct file.

And this is the config.plist from EFI/CLOVER correct?

Rather, it would be the file you use for (copy to) EFI/Clover/config.plist.

Your current config.plist has another source.
