Look at this older buyer's guide to get some ideas what will work. Most of these will still even have support through Catalina if you want to upgrade from Lion later. After Catalina support will likely be dropped. The GTX 700 series cards are the best choices from these older Kepler cards. Get one used on Ebay if you can.

Hey, I got a 610 and the OEM system wouldn't get past the BIOS splash screen. I'm looking into a 500 series, but I'm not sure which/what will work.
