Okay, if you are reading this thank you, and I hope you can help.
This is my first time building and in great fear of "what if I just end up with a PC in the end..."

The components I intend on purchasing are as follows:

CPU:
Intel Core i7-3770K Quad-Core Processor 3.5 GHz 8 MB Cache LGA 1155 - (BX80637I73770K)

Motherboard:
Gigabyte Intel Z77 LGA 1155 AMD CrossFireX/NVIDIA SLI Dual LAN Dual UEFI BIOS ATX Motherboard (GA-Z77X-UD5H)

Graphics:
EVGA GeForce GTX 660 SUPERCLOCKED 2048MB GDDR5 DVI HDMI DP Graphics Card 02G-P4-2662-KR

Boot Disk:
SanDisk Extreme SSD 240 GB SATA 6.0 Gb-s2.5-Inch Solid State Drive (SDSSDX-240G-G25)

Storage:
Seagate Barracuda 2 TB HDD SATA 6 Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive (ST2000DM001) x2

Case:
Corsair Carbide Series White 500R Mid Tower Computer Case (CC-9011012-WW)

RAM:
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800)

Bluetooth Adapter:
IOGEAR Bluetooth 4.0 USB Micro Adapter (GBU521)

CD Drive:
Sony AD-7280S-0B 24x SATA Internal DVD+/-RW Drive (Black)

Display:
Dell UltraSharp U2713H 104P6 27-Inch

I got these off of the Buyers Guide but mixed and matched the parts instead of following builds. I should have no trouble installing any of these right..?

Also, I am going for a hac pro for some video editing and photos, etc. If there are any recommendations such as changes to parts that you think is not necessary for video editing in FCP 7 and/or Premier, let me know!! I would love to hear from you guys.

Thanks,

Shawn.

Nice rig, you're fine regarding OS X support. Make sure you get a decent PSU too though.

PSU?? I need that??

... haha jk.

I'm looking into PSUs right now.. I was initially thinking of "Corsair Professional Series 650-Watt 80 Plus" but I wasn't sure if 650W was going to be enough.. I'm going to be running 3 HD and etc etc.. hmm... what do you think?? Is it enough? Do you have any suggestions on a good PSU that could be better and/or cheaper?

Try this calculator - http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp
enter all your power using parts and it will give you a minimum size calculation for a PSU
