There is nothing special in my EFI regarding the memory allocation issue because my laptop doesn't have it. From what I've read on other forums it looks like only the 6-core Comet Lake and all Ice Lake CPUs are suffering from it. The 4 core chips are good. This is as far as I got the other night. I'm back on it tonight. Any advice on how to debug this is welcome.

Upload your EFI for your problem and maybe we'll spot what's holding you up. I looked at that guys gitHub, it for sure won't work on i7's due to memory allocation. You can try swapping EFI's just for the heck of it to see if it'll boot yours. Keep in mind he uses OpenCore and not clover but you can still just swap EFI Folders and it'll boot OpenCore.

I tried everything and still freezes. Swapping to that XiaoXin efi folder with OpenCore get's it further but still freezes. Here is my efi folder.

You don't have any AptioMemoryFix kexts in your drivers/UEFI folder. You still need those even if you don't have a memory error as far as I know. The guy with the i5 on GitHub uses AptioMemoryFix.efi.

I successfully booted the installer and installed Catalina on a sata ssd. So far i got Intel UHD630, Sound, Keyboard, USBs, Sleep and CPUPower Management working. Bluetooth is working out of the box but can't be shutoff for some reason. Right now i'm patching the battery, touchpad is next. Once finished i'll make a github repo and a guide here

So you swapped NVMe for Sata drive?

Lucky 10th gen i5 people don't have memory allocation issues.

It's still connected just bypassed and OSx can't see it. Windows is booting fine from it, but unfortunately i think i've hit a wall with the touchpad. Until VoodooI2C introduces support for pci8086,02e8 comet lake I2C controllers i'm left with an external mouse. Other than that and a battery drain i got everything else working.

Awesome, can't wait till someone figures out the memory issue for i7. Have you tried the ps2 touchpad driver, might work just no gestures/dragging files.
