No support in Yosemite for Broadwell yet. Maybe next version. Definitely would NOT expect Mavericks to be updated for it.

I want to install Mac OS in my Laptop. Need to know whether it supports Mac.

Laptop details -
HP Envy 4-1212tu
Core i5-3337u
Intel HD Graphics 4000

Need to know which latest Mac OS version can I install?

Yosemite.

If you have UEFI capability, use Clover: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...oting-os-x-installer-laptops-clover-uefi.html

You can use Clover without UEFI (and you may want to try that), but I don't cover a legacy install in that guide.

Unibeast/Chimera (or Chameleon), read here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...-booting-os-x-installer-laptops-unibeast.html

Hi there I just bought myself an HP ENVY 15t laptop and was wondering if it will work. Also are the new 5th gen i7's supported?

Here's the specs:
  • 5th gen Intel Core i7-5500U
  • Nvidia GeForce 840M 2GB (sadly discrete)
  • Intel 802.11ac WLAN + Bluetooth [1x1]
  • 8GB of DDR3L 1 Dimm
  • Fingerprint reader (I assume this will not work nbd)

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Reading your last post I realize 5th gen is not supported yet

Be aware that the Nvidia cannot be used if it is in an Nvidia Optimus configuration (switched dual-GPU). You can use the Intel integrated graphics in that case and disable nvidia via DSDT/SSDT edits.

Cool thanks! Will I be able to dual boot and partition the hard drive?

The performance of OS X will be good without graphics working and using onboard system graphics? Currently I have Dell XPS L501x. It is Core i7, first generation (Nehalem) and it does NOT come with onboard graphics. There was no Optimus at my time and there is no switching to onboard or discrete. So my Hackintosh uses Nvidia graphics only.

This laptop is 4 years old now and I am thinking to upgrade. I don't game at all, so I don't even need discrete graphics card. Now since I have to use Onboard graphics only, I am confused whether I should go ahead and upgrade or stick with it.

Are there any graphics benchmark I can run so that I can compare? I can run this on my machine and take help from forum members and compare the graphics results.
