LaCie Rikiki USB 3.0 (1TB) freezing ML 10.8.4 on USB 3.0 port only

Hi Guys

I bought a LaCie Rikiki USB 3.0 (1TB) portable drive, it works on USB 2.0 port under Mountain Lion 10.8.4, once it is connected to USB3.0 port, my Hackintosh is freezed immediately. I thought it is system problem, but the USB 3.0 port on my computer is working for other USB 3.0 device such as western digital my passport 2TB. The interesting is that it is fully working under OS X10.6.8 on the same computer.

Does any one know the solution? it would be appreciated.

My computer configuration: GA-X58A-UD3R rev 2.0 , FH bios.

Did you ever get this issue resolved? I have the same issue with a BitFenix usb 3 hub that's connected to the usb 3 header on my ASUS P8Z77-V Pro.

Any news? same problem on lacie rugged thunderbolt/usb3 1TB with usb3 port, multibeast 5.4.3 usb driver installed

I Just bought the Thunderbolt 1TB Rugged USB3 combo drive. On USB3 the drive is Freezing or Stalling during copy and mount and unmount sometimes stall. Disk Utility couldn't eject it once too. I found the Link below from someone with Mac Specs so this looks like it is the controller inside the Drive. My other drives don't have problems either. USB2 Port copies and Formatted fine, just real slow. Lacie Firmware problem here I think...

Ok so I bought a new drive to test, Seagate 3 TB. Brand New OOB formatted Extended Journaled GUID 1 Partition. Attempted to copy from USB3 to USB3 and it hanged. Same problem so it may not be the drive...

update: with "USB 3.0 - Universal to Zenith432's GenericUSBXHCI.kext v1.2.6d2" from multibeast 5.5 I have no more freeze with lacie thunderbolt disk on usb 3.0 but it simply isn't seen when plugged in

Still Not Working on my X79. Wish I could use USB3 since I had it working on my Snow Leopard Gigabyte system flawlessly.

update to osx10.8.5, multibeast 5.5.2, the Rikiki USB 3.0 is ok to be seen, and transferring file from the drive to desktop working as USB 3.0, but does not work from Desktop to the drive, the drive be disconnected with error waring by system. I guess the multibeast still need to be finest. the same hardware fully working under osx10.6.8
hopefully, someone can give some suggestion.
