Keyboard works mouse doesn't but they worked during installation

I've been installing ML on my laptop for the past 2 days trying to iron everything out
however the keyboard+mouse never worked from the start so i had to use usb KB+MOUSe
however earlier i put a fresh install on and during the installation and at the end i could use both mouse and keyboard even after the start using your mac bit
however since i have rebooted and they both stopped working i tried voodoo ps2 controller and it didnt do anything at all i then downloaded and installed ApplePS2Controller.kext and AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext and installed them with kext utility and regained keyboard
so now my keyboard is working but my mouse/trackpad isn't
