Keyboard Lags at Boot and Login Screen

Hi,

When I boot into Catalina, there's always a delay with the keyboard. Both at the clover screen and the login screen, I need to keep pressing the keyboard keys a few times (7-8 times) before it starts to type. The mouse works flawlessly. There is no lag or problem once it starts to type in though. Any solutions?
