i have a simmilar problem, but i dont get a kernel panic, but a restart right after starting darwin

you can use KextWizard.app (googling it for download link)
FakeSMC.kext and IOPCIFamily.kext

[*]open kextwizard
[*]go to Installation Tab.
[*]chose "Installer" drive as destination and S/L/E as Location
[*]Browse for the fixed kexts (FakeSMC was in Extras folder, IOPCIFamily was in system/library/extensions)
[*]Install
[*]Go to Maintenance TAB and check system/library/extensions (so everything works) on the Installer drive
[*]done

try boot again your "Installer" drive

thanks

Where do I grab FakeSMC.kext? It's not in the extras folder. Also do I grab the IOPCIFamily.kext from my SL drive?
