I don't know if there is a permanent fix for this yet, my machine specs will follow. I've already used the sleep fixes included in the Probook Installer.

HP Probook 4530S XU069UT

Intel i7 2630QM Processor
120GB SSD Octane
8GB RAM
1080p Screen

any help would be appreciated

Have you checked if you have the latest firmware installed on your OCZ SSD drive?
OCZ is pretty well known for screwing up wake from sleep with their drives.

Thanks for the suggestion, Rehab.. the drive's firmware is already fully updated.. guess I'll just have to buy a different drive

I had also the same problem I reinstalled the sleep fix with the option sleep image restore that was in the Probook Installer 5.0.b7 and then in Disk Utility i made a repair disk permissions. Right now everything is working since two weeks.

Note: I have the original hard drive.
