You have a GTX 980 and yet you are disabling the drivers for it, why's that ?

Just because i have removed my GTX and use the HD 4600.
I would like to fix my sleep / wake fonctionality and other little issues before installing my GTX. ;)

I see, you want to troubleshoot everything twice - Good luck with that.

All, I was plagued by this issue on my z97x ud3h board since Yosemite. I even upgraded to Mojave (even though I have a nVidia 970) to test it there and had the same issue.

However, I am pleased to say that I've had sleep working now for about 2-3 weeks leaving my machine running 24/7 with about 6 days of straight uptime (only reason it wasn't longer is because I had to restart to boot into Windows).

What fixed it for me was updating the bios to the f10 beta version. As soon as I did my sleep problems ceased after years. This issue definitely seems to be related specifically to memory compatibility as that's what the f10 bios update addresses specifically and I am running 32Gigs of Corsair Dominator Platinum which isn't on the "official supported memory" list.

My current settings are:

  • Clover Boot:
    • darkwake: darkwake
    • -gux_defer_usb2: on
  • Energy Saver
    • Turn off Display: 15min
    • Enable Power Nap: On
    • All other options: off
  • Bios:
    • Memory Performance: Maximum Stability (vs Performance)

I would definitely suggest trying the f10b bios if you haven't already. That was the only thing that fixed sleep for me.
