Hello,

I am having some issues with getting to the installer for Yosemite.
I have tried a number of different boot options and I am getting a Kernal panic even before reaching the installer.

I have previously installed Mavericks on the same build for a friend with no issues reaching the installer. I have previously used the following boot flags -v -x -f GraphicsEnabler=Yes PCIRootUID=1
But this does not work with Yosemite 10.10.2 with my build.

Could anybody assist and help me troubleshoot.

Bios set to:
- Load Optimized Defaults
- Make Graphics Adapter IGFX first
- Change XHCI mode from Smart Auto to enabled
- The hard drive set to AHCI mode.

Here is the Kernal Panic:

Still waiting for root device is usually caused by having your Unibeast flash drive in a USB3 port.
Change it to a USB2 port or if it already is in one, move it to another one.

Good Luck

Hello,

Thanks for this. I think there was a problem with my front USB 2 port so I switched it to a port on the back.

This worked and I was able to boot with -v -x

I am facing a new problem now with my multibeast configuration which I will post in another thread.
No HDMI audio working.
