I read all threads and tried everything but I'm just not able to solve the banding/colour depth issue.
Tried the following methods but none of them helped:
Tried the following methods but none of them helped:
- Spoofing Skylake graphics with Clover Device/Properties. I tried every Skylake device-id and It solved the banding but I always ended up with 7mb VRAM. I tried to add the framebuffer mem patches to solve this but it caused bootloop.
- Spoofing Skylake from SSDT=> Same result
- Sniki mentioned somewhere that we don't need to spoof Skylake anymore, we can use the igfxfcmsfbs boot flag. The description of this flag is a little bit confusing so I tried "igfxfcmsfbs", "igfxfcmsfbs=-1" and "igfxfcmsfbs=0x010203".
- Tried a few different EDID patch (with checksum calculation), played with Byte 20 only, Macbook Air EDID injection, etc.
- Booting with and without -disablegfxfirmware (combined with all igfxfcmsfbs variations)
