Hello all,
Building a system that works flawlessly, except when a Red Rocket is installed - more specifically, the hardware can be installed, but only when the kext is loaded (redrocket.kext) does the system starting getting stuttery. Mouse/window movement is jumpy, and audio skips around, regardless of what interface is tried - I've tried built-in, external USB, and the audio out from my Blackmagic Decklink.
Have tried GraphicsEnabler=No, but the system won't get as far as the desktop without it.
Specs:
Asus P9X79 WS w/3101 BIOS (voodootscsync.kext loaded in /E/E to avoid having to boot with cpus=1 on this BIOS, which board came pre-loaded with)
64GB (8x8GB) RAM
3930k processor (tried at stock speed, but normally running at 4.2GHz)
2x EVGA 3GB GTX580 Classified
1x Decklink Extreme
1x Red Rocket
1x PCIe FW800/FW400 expansion card
boot.plist is as follows:
<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>

<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>Quiet Boot</key>

Any thoughts?
