iWork and iBooks editable regions appear white

The editable regions in both of these programs appear white. You can technically make edits but you can see nothing until you switch the orientation or go to a different view such as outline, but it appears for the brief transition period then returns to white again. I have no clue how to fix this.

A similar problem appears with iPhoto, keeping me from viewing a single photo but allowing me to browse through many without selecting one.

I am using the HD3000 graphics with 16Gb of RAM.

Anyone have any clue how to fix it?
