UPDATE:
[Can play SD video and plays HD Trailers - there seems to be a problem with playability with items previously purchased]
So I've had my Hackintosh working for quite some time now (about 2 weeks, lol) and I have come into no hiccups until last night (and today):
iTunes will not play TV shows that I have purchased through the iTunes Store. It downloads them, attempts to play, but then shows a black screen and won't actually start up.
Here are the specs for my machine:
i7 3770k (Ivy Bridge) 3.5Ghz socket 1155
GA-Z77-DS3H
16 GB (4x4GB) 1600 Corsair Vengeance LP
OCZ SSD 120 GB Vertex 3
Seagate Barricuda 1TB 7200RPM 6.0 Gps Sata 3
Cooler Master 932 HAF
Razer Black Widow Stealth Keyboard
Razer Deathadder Mouse
EVGA GTX 570 2560mb
Asus V236H 23" LCD Monitor (1080P)
Software:
(Latest iTunes)
(Latest Lion)
(Latest Flash)
Currently using F3 for my MoBo (it worked OOB)
I've also tried loading the same files through Quicktime as well as VLC Media Player - to no success for either machine. I've tried rebooting the system, Re-downloading, Re-authorizing, and I still have the same problem. I've also tried downloading 720P and 1080P resolutions - both have the same problem.
I figured it was a GPU problem at first, but LuxMark and Heaven both clock in reasonably well. (1300/9600; 55-58FPS respectively) Although the RAM seems to barely get touched for those tests.
Geekbench clocks in nicely at 14184, so there doesn't seem to be any major performance problems that I can find.
I CAN play .MOV files in iPhoto (1080P)... just not m4v files as of right now.
Anyone have a similar problem or possible workarounds/solutions?
Would greatly appreciate being able to watch all seasons of White Collar on my full HD monitor!
All help is greatly appreciated!
