Issue with wifi - all else is fine

Hi, I have a TL-WN781ND v1 wifi card which back in mountain lion and Mavericks would work fine under a certain kext that I installed, but after a fresh install of Yosemite yesterday I'm no longer able to get the wifi to detect any networks. The system recognises that the wifi card exists and there is data for it under system information but it is unable to detect any networks. I'm using a GA H55m-USB3 motherboard.

I had the same issue, with my AR9287 mini PCI-E card. In ML and Mavericks, worked fine with modified IO80211Family.kext. But i Yosemite, the wifi card apperas but cant detect any wifi connection.

Any Idea?

It's definitely a frustrating issue. Right now I'm using a bridged connection via Ethernet from another laptop because otherwise I can't get internet on my computer. What motherboard do you have?
