Hi, I had been using El Capitan with my Hackintosh but recently overwrote that system and installed High Sierra (10.13.6). I've got almost everything up and running well and have also installed two security updates and iTunes updates. My last problem, however, is that my App Store is having some odd, inconsistent behavior when trying to download and install Logic Pro X and Final Cut Pro.

Both of these programs have an "INSTALL" button to click on. Sometimes clicking results in starting the download with the progress bar appearing. Sometimes I get a message that "APPNAME failed to download - Use the Purchased page to try again". However, if I'm able to get the program downloaded and installed it never opens and I'll get a myriad of error messages including:

"You can't open the application "APPNAME" because it may be damaged or incomplete"

"APPNAME quit unexpectedly. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple."

I've tried with SIP enabled and disabled. Any ideas of what might be happening? Let me know if I can supply any more info, thanks!

Thanks for the assist! The thread led me to this comment which seems to have fixed the issue (at least temporarily). Unfortunately it seems I have to do this every time I start up either program, but at least I can get them to work now.

this is not a perfect solution. however, it is a temporary solution for recent issues.

entering command+shift+g in finder activates go to the folder.

enter /Library/Keychains/crls/

delete or rename the "valid.sqilite3" file.

my opinion is that all apps recently installed by high sierra are having problems due to an error in authentication problems caused by the keychain.

as said at the outset, this is a temporary solution. If the same problem is repeated, repeat the solution.
