Check on Gigabyte's website for compatible memory for your board. Here's a link to the H55-S2H product page. The downloadable memory guide is the third "bubble" menu button to the right of the MB picture.

Me thinks your memory is too strong. Additonally, on the mATX boards the memory "fins" can get in the way of CPU cooler and, depending upon your case, the hard drives.
