Im stuck on the white screen with the apple loading its not going anywhere I dunno why after I updated to 10.8.2 any solution to that ?

I had some issues at first myself.

Right now i have 8.1.2 running fine. That includes iMessages, Latest iTunes, App store, HD4000.

The only issue i have right now is waking up from sleep. I believe there is a fix for my system that I have yet to try.

Boot your system using -v and post an image of the screen here, so we can help you.

I have an Asus X83VB-X2 running Core 2/4GB/nVidia 9300m gs. Up until 10.8.2, I was able to get all versions of Snow and Mountain Lion running, but with 10.8.2, I get the

kernel extension in backtrace: com.apple.driver.AppleRTC(1.5)* dependency com.apple.iokit.IOACPIFamily(1.4)*

error when booting with -v. I have tried this: http://www.osx86.net/view/3040-nvdanv50hal.kext.zip_-_nvidia_geforce_93_...html

and am about to try this: http://cl.ly/440C1x2E153g (ACPI kext rollback).

Anyone else having issues like mine?

OK, I was able to figure this out. I had two problems with this rig.

First, the fact that out of the box, the 10.8.2 installer's NVDANV50Hal Info.plist didn't refer to my nVidia 9300m gs card, so I edited NVDANV50Hal Info.plist to look like:

Code:<key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key>
<string>0x06e910de&0xfff0ffff</string> system.

Then I repaired permissions and had perfect video.

Second, the issue with ACPI rollback. Installed the kext found here and repaired permissions. All was well.

Thanks for sharing, man! Also had this backtrace on my system.log and it disappeared right on the next reboot with the solution you've found.
