I have a dual boot system with Maverick and Windows 7. Is it worth going through an upgrade to El Capitan? I may upgrade my memory and GPU in the next 6 months but at this time I have no plans to change Windows 7.

Current System Specs:
Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H Motherboard
I4790K CPU
16GB DDR3
EVGA GTX 760 SC SLI
2x 256GB Kingston SSD
2x 1TB WD Black
EVGA Gold 800W PSU
Corsair H100i

IMHO, there is no benefit to upgrading to El Capitan from a working Mavericks build.
If you have no apps that require you to update or new hardware that needs it to be able to run, then, personally, I would not upgrade.
