i have already searched but i can't find a sure answer:
i have to force enable TRIM in the last version of El Capitan?

i have just updated my mackintosh from mavericks...all working good but i'm seeing "NO" under the TRIM voice in the OS.

thank you very much
best regards

does your drive even support trim to start with

yes my drives supports TRIM: Samsung 840 & 850 PRO.
Because with Mavericks there was the TRIM avtived.

Yes. You can enable TRIM in 10.11.4 You can do it through Terminal by just copying and pasting sudo trimforce enable But note that enabling trim can cause freezes.

thank you for the tip.

if i will find my system freezes, how can i disable TRIM?
always via Terminal?

Best regards
Moreno

That should work as well via terminal:

Code:
[FONT=Monaco]$ trimforce[/FONT]
[FONT=Monaco]Usage:    trimforce enable[/FONT]
[FONT=Monaco]    trimforce disable[/FONT]
[FONT=Monaco]    trimforce help[/FONT]

App like "trim enabler" can do also the work?

Thanks for reply
