HI,I've a i7 2600 3.4GHz on Asus P8z68 deluxe,no "O.C." and I did a clean install of Mavericks with default Bios setup then : Turbo boost= enable and Speed step= enable.

In HWMonitor i read my Cpu
almost always works at 1,60GHz with x16 multiplier and sometimes only for a few seconds works at 3,4GHz with x34 multiplier without working then on "intermediate "values.

in multibeast i,ve installed NullCpuPowermanagement otherwise get Kernel Panic......

what I would like to know is': the cpu should also work with intermediate values, or it can only work well with these 2 values? what role does the kext NullCPUPowerm ...?, and is essential to have a SSDT then?

thank you to all , any clarification' is appreciated;-)
