Is my system able to install and run El Capitan?

hi I'm using a gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L
will it be possible for such an antique configuration to run El capitan :crazy:

I did Snow Leopard on a MSI MoBo with G31 chipset, 8 years ago and it's still running great.
So, you never actually can tell, every mobo seems to be different.

Just remove your HDD's and plug in a spare one. Maybe second hand, and just try it.
You can always clone it to a new drive (SSD) if it works fine with Carbon Copy Cloner (for instanance) and a little extra work.
And if you think it's a lot of fun, you can always do a donation!

i had that board... your safest path is to wait a bit until something more in the line of chimera/chamaleon get El Cap support.

But, i guess that as long as your graphics card dont add any trouble, you will probably end making it work now. just be patient and do it in a different disk
