Is Mavericks Faster than Yosemite?

Hello Hackintoshers,

My question is stated above. I am worried about this because I want to have every little bit of performance possible in my hackintosh, due to the fact that I use heavy programs such as Logic/Ableton live (music production software) Photoshop, and FCPX.

I am currently running Mavericks and thinking of upgrading to Yosemite? Is it a smart move in terms of performance? I have seen some videos that have stated not. Mountain Lion is the fastest OSX ever released from what I saw.

I used Mavericks AND Yosemite on my 6460B and i can tell you that Yosemite seemed to work faster. BUT still it was too slow for me, so I had to switch back to Windows OS, which works a lot better than OS X on my laptop. I was just tired of all those laggy interface animations.
