I'm replacing my 2009 Mac Pro's NVIDIA Geforce GT 120 with a flashed GTX 980 Ti from MacVidCards.com.

I have a bootcamp partition on my Mac HD running Windows XP, and I don't believe the GTX 980 is going to be compatible with XP.

It seems as if 2009 Mac Pros don't officially support Windows 10, however. Is there any way I can install Windows 10 on a bootcamp partition on my 2009 Mac Pro? I've been told I should install Windows 7 or 8 first, but those versions of Windows are no longer available for purchase as far as I'm aware.

Here's one way: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...allation-no-bootloaders-or-efi-hacks.1905564/

the easiest solution, would be to install Windows 10 on a hard drive using a different computer, such as a PC, and then not activate it until after you have placed the hard drive into the Mac and booted from it.

You will obviously need to hold down the Option/Alt key to select the drive to boot into.

I know this is an old posit but I'd still like to bump it for an update.
