Hi everybody,

is it possible to get both working? Im on an GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 Motherboard and have an Nvidia 6xx Graphics-card which provides me with HDMi Audio. But i can not gat audio from the on board ports at the back audio jacks. Is there anything i can do?

Thanks in advance

Hi toleda,

thank you very much for your reply. Im on UEFi BIOS but i don't know how to use this guides. Do you have some time for chatting now?

So i try describe my problems.

1. Do i need a DSDT?

if yes, witch patches do i have to apply to my clean DSDT? PJALM doesn't provide patches for the GA-Z68-UD3H-B3.

2. What are the advantages of Audio with DSDT or without?

Thanks in advance

if you want HDMI audio, yes. I don't know because you did not mention the BIOS version. HDMI audio.

Hi toleda,

thank you very much for your reply again. I'm on U1H (UEFI) BIOS.

Would be nice if we could chat later this day. I have so many questions and want to ask them.

1. Do i have to apply the HDEF patches to my DSDT?
2. What does the Audi ID mean for me.
3. Can i get all audi devices working, in my case onboard ALC 889 + HDMI HD 3000 + Nvidia 680 HDMI?

So i tried to compile my clean DSDT and get an error.

I don't know how to solve this error.

It would be nice if we could go thru the hole process of DSDT patching together, so that i could make a german guide for other people withe same questions as me. So i hope the benefit of editing the DSDT together is that i can understand the hole process...

Thanks in advance

No, HDEF is in HDMI patch. HD3000 and GTX 680. use Audio_ID:3.
With the UEFI BIOS, see [Easy Guide] ML: UEFI HDMI Audio, use uefi2. Desktop-HD4K/HD3K/AMD/Nvidia-A3 - HD4000 HDMI audio dsdt edits

You don't have a clean compile dsdt until you apply the clean compile patch, see ML UEFI HDMI audio dsdt edits.

Hi toleda,

thanks again.

1. I have applied the clean compile patch but there is still one error?

What i can do to solve this?

2. Where i have to change the Audio ID?
2a. In the DSDT? If yes, where?
2b. In the AppleHDA.kext? If yes, where?

I hope we can solve my problem and bring the light into the dark.

Thanks in advance

Attach the dsdt.dsl with the prolem and the native dsdt.
Audio_id = layout-id and is set in the patch (A1 or A3)
