Is it possible to back up Snow Leopard AND Bootloader?

ive been doing some research about backing up my hackintosh but im not sure how to back up the bootloader partition as i have been trying for weeks to get my graphics card working. Now i have i want to back up everything before i make anymore adjustments.

Usually you dont have a separate partition for that. Bootloader sits in the first 440 bytes.....
If by bootloader you mean the Chameleon "boot" file then that is in the toplevel ( / )of your partition.
sudo cp /boot /Users/ryan/backups/
