Hello Hackers,

Thanks to the excellent guide (https://www.tonymacx86.com/resources/el-capitan-post-install-tools.294/) I was successful in my first hackintosh (well after a few failed attempts...:mad:).

One issue is that the audio crackles in and out, regardless of output (speakers or headphones) or what it's doing (could be middle of movie, could be game, could be anything). It 'crackles' in and out, maybe 5-10 times a minute, or just cuts out. Rebooting fixes it temporarily. Reinstalling audio drivers did nothing. As a HTPC...this is a mission critical fix

Setup:
Intel NUC - http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/nuc/nuc-kit-nuc6i3syh.html

Have included the relevant documents. If there's anything i've missed let me know. I am very appreciative of all help. Once I crack this i'm home dry!

Callum

No. For your audio problem, try the audio solution.

While attempting this, I found;

VoodooHDA.kext has incorrect permissions; omitting.

I thought I had removed voodoHDA using the standard rm commands, but I had left a straggler, after removing it the problem resolved, presumably it was interfering.

Thankyou for the pointer,

I have the exact same intel NUC as you. Which driver did you use for audio? I never managed to get driver working with HDMI. I've just upgraded from El Capitan to High Sierra. Had to wipe my drive after loosing working system after update so lost of my previous settings (and was a while ago since I had to mess around with clover / multibeast)
