I found this information by accident so in case it's news to others:
"Itlwm" is a kext to enable a range of Intel "on board" WiFi hardware. Such hardware might be embedded into laptops or plugged in via M.2 cards on desktop motherboards, such as the ASRock Z490M I'm using.
Supported Intel cards are claimed to include:
Also there's "Heliport" a friendly GUI tool for managing WiFi connections in conjuntion with the Itlwm.
Frankly I'm amazed, I never thought we'd have Intel WiFi support and would always have to install Broadcom alternatives.
YMMV but I'm getting full speeds and range on the stock Intel card that came with the ASRock Z490. I don't use Apple Handoff and suchlike so can't confirm if Itlwm works ok there, but for general connectivity on Catalina 10.15.6 it seems fine for me.
Just remember to enable the onboard WiFi in your BIOS... ahem. ;-)
