Sorry, did you find the solution for the hdmi audio in 10.13.4? I have the same problem as you. Thank you very much!

i did not use hdmi audio,but line out with lilu & applealc 1.2.6 inject ID 27 can work . infact, my audio card model is ALC3234(ALC255)

Hello still no go for me and sorry for late answers.
I'm keep using 10.13.3.
No HDMI since I do not have an HDMI display but a 23" Dell DP one, so cannot test it but I'm pretty sure looking at Rehabman configs you can solve this one.

For audio I'm using Kirabcec conf and using only internal speaker (terrible distorted sound, but I'm using the hack not for music...) so you have to test if output (front headphones, green on the back) are working.
I'have read (but do not remember where...) that sometimes connecting a cable to the output ports brings to a crash so you have too test it.
