Seems like I'm the only one with this problem.

I cannot get integrated Intel HD 530 to display native resolution on my 27 inch DELL 2711 monitor (2560x1440).

Thing is this is my second install on same hardware and first time I managed to get it working somehow, now I cannot do it.

I use iMac 17,1, Inject Intel, seems like acceleration is working, only native resolution is not. It gets 1600x1200 when I'm on DVI cable, and 1920x1080 when I'm on HDMI. I tried Pixel Clock Patch but no luck, HDMI is stuck on fullHD max and on DVI I only get 1600x1200

Can't find anyone with the same problem..

My BIOS setting

tried "Other OS" and "Windows 8/10 WHQL"
disable CSM
Inject Intel, not Inject intel

no idea

p.s. during boot I do get "Failed to initialize graphics firmware" .. not sure if that has to to with anything

Thank you for your time.

It doesn't help. Still get "failed to initialize graphics firmware" during boot,

acceleration seems to be working fine but still no native resolution, monitor is recognized as 28 inch 1600x1200 (when in fact it should be 2560x1440)

aargh

Perhaps the config.plist we are editing is not the one that you are booting with.
Try toggling the verbose mode on/off and then see if it changes when you boot.

My guess is your display or laptop is not supporting HDMI v2. With 1.3 (no dual link) you'll be limited to 43 hz and 2560x1440 (not sure how to make osx recognize modes like that). Otherwise it's only capable to drive 1920x1200 max. I would boot ubuntu with usb stick and try what it can on the fly to make sure its possible first.

Hi I have your own problem, about 1 year ago I was able to run the first Sierra version with my 4K 3840x2160 resolution monitor then after 1 year I installed High Sierra and this problem. if I connect the HDMI cable it all works with the maximum resolution of 1920x1080 if I connect the display cable to my first black screen and then reboots. I tried installing the latest version of Sierra with the same black screen results and reboot if connected with port display. I can not get the maximum resolution with HDMI at 3840x2160 and my motherboard supports 4k.
