Intel HD 4000 VGA Problem

How do I make the VGA port to work?

I wanted to make my screen extended to two monitors, so I can multi-task.
The HDMI is working fine, but VGA is not working fine (Messy Display).

GPU/CPU: Intel HD 4000 Integrated Card (IVY Bridge Intel i7 Processor, I believe 3rd or 4th generation).


Any help?

VGA is not supported anymore in MacOSX. Use DVI and HDMI.

My TV does not have DVI, only Game cable, HDMI, and VGA

It will work with HDMI. The Messy display is because you didn't select 1080p display. Boot into OS X, open MultiBeast, navigate to Custimizatons>Boot options and select 1080p Display.

That is a switch.

You can buy a DVI to hdmi cable.

With Mountain Lion I had a dual monitor setup working just fine. This was with a VGA screen working (using the Z77X-UP5TH vga port) together with my ASUS PB278Q monitor (using DisplayPort @2560x1440) through the Thunderbolt port. For some weird reason, this setup only worked when I had my DVI cable connected to DVI motherboard port (inserted into the screen).

After upgrading to Mavericks I have not been able to make it work the same way again. Can any one confirm or reject that the VGA support has been removed by Apple since Mavericks?
