Hello everyone,

I always want to have a fast data storage for my VMs and AUs, so I keep searching good deals on high-capacity NVMe SSDs.

And I got an used 4TB intel SSD with a good deal, here is all the misery happen......

I kept getting KP and reboot immediately after get it installed in my osx86 PC

I think it is an block size problem, so I inspected its sector size which is 512B.

As I remember, Mojave can support 512B natively, and my system drive is an Intel Optane 900p which has 512B sector as well.

I'll try to adjust its sector size to 4K once I have spare PCs, OSX is my only system now and I have no Windows, but Intel's config tools are windows only.

Or maybe....maybe nvme compatibility will be enhanced in Catalina since the "cheese grinder" mac pro features extensibility, doesn't it?
