I used a case from an old Gateway FX7020 which can be seen below. I'm sure that any mid size tower would also hold the components with ease:

About This Build:
Used UniBeast method to install OS X 10.7, then used the stand alone combo update to update to 10.7.2. Everything but the on board sound works right out of the box with OS X Lion 10.7.2, which was also easy to setup with Multibeast 4.2.1 for Lion. Check the following options:
EasyBeast Install
System Utilities:
Repair Permissions
Drivers & Bootloaders -> Kexts & Enablers -> Audio -> Realtek ALC8xx:
- ALC8xxHDA
- AppleHDA Rollback

Non-DSDT HDA Enabler
- ALC892

Edit 01/06/2012: It appears I may have spoken too soon. As pointed out below, there are power issues that do not work out of the box. Powering off the system will shut down the OS and turn the display off, but does not shut the power down for the system. This forces a hard shutdown by holding the power button. There are also wake issues after the system goes to sleep, which was easily fixed by changing the power options to never allow the computer to sleep. Will update once I come across a fix for the system.

Comments:
In total the system cost me about $800.00. Its important to note that the SSD Drive and the DVD Drive did not come with SATA Cables. The motherboard came with two SATA cables, but make sure you pick up another if you plan to install a second hard drive in the system.

This is a pretty fast and extremely quiet build. I had an XBench score of 427.30. I had to place my hand behind the video card and power supply fans to ensure they were running because it was so quiet.

The Cooler Master CPU fan was probably a bit overkill, but was recommended by a friend due to reviews of the processor overheating with the stock fan. While it works amazingly, it doesn't completely fit inside of the case due to how big the heat sink is. I can close my case, but it bends the panel slightly which I'm not too fond of due to the pressure against the CPU.

If you have never used an SSD drive instead of a traditional hard drive before, I strongly encourage you to try it. As an example, when updating lion to 10.7.2 previously on the traditional 500 GB 5400 RPM hard drive, it would take about 10 minutes. On the exact same setup with the SSD drive, it took 2 minutes. The difference is definitely noticeable and well worth the money.

Previous Issues With A Different Video Card:
I literally spent 2 weeks with a total of about 5 hours a day trying to get the system to run with a PNY GeForce GTS 250 1GB Video Card. I got extremely weird issues, trying everything from GraphicsEnabler=Yes to Nvidia injector Nvidia Enabler and so forth. I was never able to get the system to recognize the video card or change the resolution, and would receive random kernel panics, system hang ups USBMC Identifier Non Unique, etc. Not sure what was happening, but I definitely recommend to go with an ATI video card instead of NVidia to save yourself some trouble and ensure Out of Box functionality and compatibility.

Thanks for pointing that out. I wrote it after restarts but not a shutdown. It does restart fine but waking from sleep and shutting down completely does not work, even with the Evorestart option checked in multibeast. I'll update the post when I get to a computer. Thanks!

Did you ever work out how to solve the not shutting down issue? I am having a similar problem at the moment.
