Installing Applications

Hi, so my mac is working correctly now, but I was just wondering if I had to do anything special to install Microsoft Office 2011, or can I just put in the disk and follow the typical installation? Also I was wondering if I could empty my trash which includes a MultiBeast-5.0.2.zip just because I like it to be empty.

Whenever you're installing software for OS X, you need to check with whomever makes it whether or not it's compatible with the version of OS X that you're running.

Office 2011 works fine with Mountain Lion.
