Hi all,

I'm a total noob at this, so basically I don't know what I'm doing here.

So I've installed Mountain Lion yesterday and basically I don't know
what to do from here on.

My system specs are:

CPU: Intel i5 3570k
Mainboard: MSI B75MA-P45
RAM: 16 GB
Video: AMD Radeon 7850

Apparently I need a custom DSDT file, I checked out the tutorial on how
to create one and it looks too complicated - I can never do this by myself :(

I realize that I probably can't get my Radeon to work right now - that's fine,
I'm okay with the onboard graphics for now.

So if anyone here has the same mainboard - could you please help me out?

Thanks!

Have you used Multibeast yet?

Yes, but if I install any driver or something it panics after a reboot.

I guess it's because I haven't done anything with my DSDT.

Have you searched the DSDT database for your DSDT? I dont know if there is a custom one designed for your motherboard, but try searching around.

It needs to be the correct driver for your motherboard. look here:

MSI B75MA-P45: specifications, reviews, discount offers and more | Hardware.Info United Kingdom

If this is the correct motherboard, it says your audio codec is realtek ac887. Look for this kext that supports it in Multi beast and click on it, along with the HDA kext it is supposed to be used in conjunction with. Always tick the system ultilities box aswell.

That link also says your mobo uses Realtek RTL8111E network chip. Look for the kext that supports this under 'network' in multi beast. click on that. There are two; either one should do.

Im not sure about your graphics card. search the board to see if others have got it working.

Hope this helps.

Yes, this is the motherboard :)

I have searched the DSDT database and unfortunately it seems that there is no DSDT
for my motherboard available.

And I understand that without the proper DSDT I can't use Multibeast.

I saw the user Mieze here reporting that he had his B75MA-P45 working fine
with sound, graphics and everything. I wonder how he did it.

multibeast can be used with or without user dsdt
just click on audio and video and internet whatever is ur id

The major flaw here is that AMD 7000 series cards don't work yet.

I know, I did say that I'm fine with Onboard graphics for now.

The important thing for me right now is to get the working DSDT for MSI B75MA-P45.

MultiBeast allows you to install via EasyBeast for those with out a Patched DSDT.

I have tried installing EasyBeast, but no luck - only Kernel Panic :(

Also doesn't work - Kernel Panic.
