Hi All,

I'm struggling to get past this Kernel Panic. "VM_Page_Check_Pageable_Safe: Trying To Add Page".

I've installed El Capitan (updated from Yosemite) via USB to my original Yosemite SSD. I did a quick search through the forum, but I wasn't able to locate a solution for this specific Kernel Panic.

If anyone has some insight here, I would really appreciate it.

Cheers,

Neal

It is the Ev0reboot.kext which causes problems in El Capitan and should be removed.

Thanks for the note P1LGRIM - updated profile with my build, which might help others to assist me here.

Is there a way to delete kext without actually logging into Yosemite/MacOS? Unfortunately, I can't boot Yosemite anymore (likely because I've installed El Capitan on that same drive) and I'm not sure if it's possible to delete a kext through unibeast or other means.

Any additional help here is much appreciated, thanks!

Boot with your USB installer and then open Terminal :
Code:
rm -r /System/Library/Extensions/Ev0reboot.kext
