Installaing El Capitan on HP Probook 6550B

Following RehabMan’s guide, I tried creating a USB for my HP Probook 6550B but it's not booting to the installer, maybe due to video driver issues. Since I could not find a config file that suits my video card I chose config_HD3000_1366x768.plist, but not sure how to modify the file.

First followed GhostRaiders suggestion of removing AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext, had no luck so did what RehabMan had in the guide with exactly the same result.

This is what I get when enabling verbose mode



And here is the EFI folder

Hoping to get some guidance from you to get this install to work.

Hi RehabMan. I've red through the FAQ and associated guides twice and still can't manage to get past that screen. Can you nudge me in the right direction please. Is it a video issue? Do I need to put other kexts anywhere else?

It is either a USB problem or memory map issue.
You should remove GenericUSBXHCI.kext especially if your laptop does not have USB3.
Also, try all USB ports (with USB2 stick).
If it is a memory map issue, using legacy Clover may help.

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".

Yeah I know the Clover EFI procedure. I was hoping the topic poster had success. I've already tried to install Capitan with Clover EFI but also had the same startup screen. But I must admit this is also my first attempt and it was a USB3 stick (still have to buy a USB 2 stick). So my next tries will be

- USB3 + Clover Legacy
- USB2 + Clover EFI
- USB2 + Clover Legacy

Haven't found any entries in my bios about the memory, so I hope that is not the issue.

My system is the

Start by reading the FAQ, filling your profile properly, following the guide.
Then if you have an issue, attach problem reporting files as per FAQ.
