Install Sierra on GA-Z77-DS3H help!!

My original install on this system (4 years old) has gone kaput. The boot screen just shows:
gpt 0:done

But it won't boot the hard drive (250GB Samsung EVO 850). I can't find my original install usb drive (with OS X Mountain Lion, i think).

The only installer I have now is for Sierra.

System: Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H
RAM: 16GB DDR-1600
Video: Nvidia GTX560Ti

Not really sure what you're asking for but if you want Sierra why are you posting in El Capitan Desktop Support ?
