Install Lion to SSD and Keep User Files on HD

Is it possible to do this for OSX? I know it can be done in Windows. I just want the OS on the SSD so it boots/runs fast but want to keep my user folder and will my files on the WD 2TB drive.

Just install Lion to the SSD and use the following guide to move the User directory:

I did this and noticed a slight drop in speed ... might be because library folder with all caches etc. is now on the HDD instead of the faster SSD. It's not that much slower, but it annoyed me and I switched back. I am now trying a setup with everything in my home directory except the library folder on my HDD.

Did you ever figure this out? I would like to do the same but need the cache's and temp files to go on the SSD.
