Hi all,
will appreciate any help with this.
First attempt at laptop hackintosh to Sierra 10.12.6 using a USB install disk created with unibeast 7.1.1

Have configured the bios to resemble as closely as possible Bozma88's guide for the XPS 13
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...a-10-12-x-lts-long-term-support-guide.213141/

Clover boot screen show up, but boot hangs at the Apple logo and the progress bar just showing a dot...
I suspected some kexts may be needed to boot clover, so have added Lilu, VoodooPS2Controller, FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics, FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics to the EFI partition of the USB install disk, still doesn't work.

Thanks in advance !

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".
Here is a direct link, just to be clear:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Also, your profile must be filled out with complete details as requested in the FAQ, again under "Q. Where do I start?". All seven details requested are equally important.

And if you have an issue (after following the guide), or on any other problem, you must provide a detailed description of the problem including information that helps us understand what you're doing. Always attach "Problem Reporting" files as per FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html
The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:
"Q. What are typical "Problem Reporting" files?"

You can also try the guide I recently created, it goes over all the steps to get your specific laptop working.

Here is the guide

Thanks Krosseyed and Rehabman !
I thought Unibeast took care of the install disk creation, so did not read the guide. My bad.
Managed to install following the guide, and was about to muddle my way through
post-install and Krosseyed just saved me from my own blunderings.

It's a great community !
:)
