I confirm that iMac 13,1 SMBIOS also works.

I think the difference between using SMBIOS imac or mac pro is on management and hardware recognition, but not sure. I would appreciate if someone knew inform clearly.

Hello there,

I have been searching a lot about this issue.
I know this is a Hackintosh forum. But my MacPro (official) is semi-hacked because I also bought an AMD 6870 (Sapphire vapor-x 1gb) and I am suffering the same issue as here. The GPU noise fan are getting me a headache. GPU temperature increases while being idle.

The problem is that I don't know how to change the smbios or if it is risky to do in a Mac.

I also realized that in previous 10.8 versions while browsing GPU fan speeded up in some seconds
