Hi there guys,

I've got two drives, Mojave SSD and general storage traditional HDD. On that HDD, there's a EFI partition with the folder structure EFI/APPLE/FIRMWARE/ with the single IM142.scap file in it. Any idea what's that? There's not much info on that file here on the forum.

Is it some leftover from my previous installations? I had many of them over the past years from Snow Leopard with Chimera to Mojave with Clover.

Thank you.

What you have there is a firmware update file where you possibly got a message that you had to update your firmware to install a new version of Mac OS - probably since you were using the Mac Pro system definition, most likely 3.1 early on with Snow Leopard and needed the 4.1 sysdef when you went to Mountain Lion or later version. You can safely delete the Apple folder on your HDD.
