iBoot +MultiBeast on Sony Vaio VGN-TZ298 (C2Duo) Laptop?

Hi,

Just discovered this great website and blog today.....

Would really like to get OSX Snow Leopard installed on my 11" Sony Vaio VGN-TZ298 laptop it has 1.33 GHz U7700 Core 2 Duo CPU, Intel GMA950 Graphics, 2GB RAM, and 64GB Samsung PATA SSD and a secondary Fujitsu 250GB HD.

Do you think I can install OSX SL using iBoot+MultiBeast?

Also, noticed in the instructions, step 1 BIOS Settings, about setting BIOS to ACHI, don't think I have option for this setting. Is that OK?

Should I just go ahead and try to install and see what happens?

Update

OK, decided to be brave and try install....

iBoot worked OK, but had problem with OSX SL disk step 8....could hear disk working, but never got to OSX Installer screen...

Tried suggestion in step 9, to use safe mode, but no go either...

Decided to try '-v' instead and here's part of the text I see on display:

[Warning] /Extra/DSDT.aml not found
Using PCI-Root-UID value 0
Intel VGA Controller [8086:27a2] : : PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0) currently NOT SUPPORTED

So, looks like this won't work for now, right???

27A2 is natively supported by Apple kexts.
So you just need to either use a DSDT with an appropriate section to "inject" the GFX (and ideally PNLF) info, or alternate Chameleon bootloader version that does support A2, such as AndyVand's:

27A2 is natively supported by Apple kexts.
So you just need to either use a DSDT with an appropriate section to "inject" the GFX (and ideally PNLF) info, or alternate Chameleon bootloader version that does support A2, such as AndyVand's:
