iBoot/Chimera help

hey guys, decided to reload everything after i had a mishap with a few kexts and KPs. So i downloaded the newest boot with chimera in it. I burned it to a CD-R as a disk image and went about doing work, but when i use the new iboot cd to load up and then press f5 and switch to the SL install disk it goes to the gray apple screen and spinny gray circle and sits there forever then the screen turns off... now when i do it with the old iboot 2.5 cd that i used originally it works just fine... so I've read around on here and can't seem to find anything (could be blind >.<) any suggestions? (i did disconnect all extra hard drives and took out extra ram)

If it isn't in my sig... my sys specs are
Gigabyte X58-UD3R 2.0
a i7 3.2 cpu
6gig of skill 1600 ram
2 ocz 60gig SSDs vertex 2

If your old iBoot CD still works, then just use that one. Which version of iBoot you use will not affect your final installation.
