What`s up people.
I wanted to know if this rig is OK to have my own hackintosh at home. I`ve done hackins in the past and the last I did was using tonymac guide for a i5 using a DP55WB from intel and was all right, the VGA was a nvidia 9400gt.

but my gear is a little but different, and I did not find any final words on this VGA and mobo.
would u guys help me here? thank you!!

Could you please post all of your system parts in your signature and post? Thanks,

Tom

that`s a good idea!!

That particular mother board is not well supported for DSDT, yet.

Check here for well supported X58 boards

I think the X58A-UD3R-Rev.1 and the X58A-UD5-Rev.1 are best supported in this community.
Everything else looks great.

Speaking of the Rev 1.0's, is there anyplace online you (or anyone else) that knows where online you can be guaranteed of getting a rev. 1.0?

You should be able to call the order in and specify directly what you want in the US, Canada, or Australia.

r.

well, the thing is, I already have that mobo.
I can change the vga, thinking in GTX4xx or HD58XX.
I just found these

"GA-EX58-UD4P_F10d (Dcbimmer)"
wonder if that DSDT can work, since that mobo is 99% alike mine.
what u guys think?
thank you!

You can always give it a try.

Keep in mind GTX-470 and above only. GTX-465 and 460 are not yet supported.

good to know.
(that means changing my PSU aswell...outch my wallet...)

but the gtx 260 has support right ?
the last time I searched (3 months ago) I did not see any support for it...

auheauhae
i'm so stupid.
I changed my mobo, MY mobo IS THE UD4P.
uaehaeuh.

SO, I should buy the snow leopard retail upgrade DVD, use which boot ?
cause I have no mac here with me, that means I can't edit the BOOT CD's to put the DSDT inside it and boot it.

how should I proceed ?
thank you!
