Thanks in advance if some one could help me solve it

In the system profiler, Mac doesn't seem to recognize i7 970, The type of processor is Unknown. I am currently running SL 10.6.7 and everything is fine. I installed the system using Multibeast.

I thought it is because of the failure in identification that Lion refused to install. It can only install on Intel Core 2 or higher. But i am also concerned if Lion had the kext files for i7 970. So my question would be Can I upgrade to Lion using this system? If Can, how may I change the ID of processor in System Profiler?

Also my mac is identified as MAC PRO 5,1

u need to install 10.6.8 to run lion
did u try getting dsdt file for your mobo<
check dsdt database
set to mac 3.1
place file on desktop
multibeast>userdsdt....<system utilities...etc

10.6.8 installed.

the installer of MAC OS LION says 10.7 can not be installed on this computer

I certainly have put the right DSDT and everything needed for the hackintosh to run in the first place. Just need to know the working way to change the ID in profiler for my Processor.
